Rodrigo N. Banegas, MD

Dr. Banegas graduated from the National University of Rosario, Argentina School of Medicine, in 1994. He then completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Hospital de Emergencias Clemente Alvarez in Rosario, Argentina. In 2007, he completed a one-year fellowship at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky then continued as a Senior Fellow and ultimately as Hand Scholar.

Dr. Banegas is member of the Argentina’s Society of Hand Surgery, a member of the International Society for Peripheral Nerve and Brachial Plexus Injuries, as well as, candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

In July 2008, Dr. Banegas joined Kleinert Kutz as staff. He was appointed gratis faculty, hand surgery clinical instructor, at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.

His special interests include brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries, microsurgery and upper extremity fracture and soft tissue reconstruction.
