Care for the Hand and Arm
The hand is so complex that seeing a specialist yields the best solution--even for conditions or injuries that seem insignificant. Combining expertise in orthopedic, plastic, and general surgery, the surgeons of Kleinert, Kutz and Associates perform a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures for common and rare conditions:
Most inpatient surgery is performed at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. The hospital provides specially equipped operating facilities as well as a post-surgical hand unit staffed by nurses trained in care of the upper extremity. Our physicians have privileges at a number of other hospitals throughout the region. 24-Hour Emergency Care Emergency treatment is available through the Jewish Hospital Emergency Department in Louisville, Kentucky. Hand Trauma Teams headed by Kleinert, Kutz and Associates' physicians are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The team approach lets us care for multiple patients with severe trauma or minor injuries. Physicians have privileges at a number of other emergency departments in Kentucky and Indiana and will respond immediately if called. If necessary, air ambulance service is available through the Louisville Medical Center STATCARE. This service consists of two helicopters and two airplanes. The service range for the helicopters is about 150 miles from Louisville, Kentucky. The airplanes can travel internationally. Medical Evaluation and Treatment Whether you need medical treatment or simply a second medical opinion about a hand or arm problem, call directly to make an appointment with the physician of your choice or have your physician refer you to us. Kleinert Kutz offers upper- and lower-extremity MRI services at our New Albany office as an aid in diagnosing and evaluating conditions. Read our brochure for more information.
